Hi, I’m Hannah Ibay, a Clinical Social Work Intern in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Emory University and a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. During my education and experience, I developed a passion for working with children focusing on trauma-informed care and the family system.
I am committed to treating children, teens, adults, and families with nurturing and helpful therapy to assist them through difficulties in many areas of life. I use an integrative approach focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy to help my clients through various issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, domestic violence, trauma, foster-care/out-of-home placement, and adoption.
I come from a strengths-based approach looking to help my clients emphasize their own self-determination and focus on their positive attributes. I am passionate about helping my clients and giving everyone a safe, open environment to feel comfortable working collaboratively to reach their therapeutic goals.
During my days off I love reading, enjoying nature, spending time with my family, and hanging out with my 3 dogs, parrot, and tortoise.
I was originally a lawyer. While representing a client during a domestic case, I began to feel that the legal world sometimes made things worse for families instead of better. I decided I wanted to get another degree so that I could better help people and especially families. Having decided I wanted to be a therapist I examined all the possible therapy degrees and chose marriage and family therapy because of its systemic view of the world. This discipline doesn’t blame people for their mental health issues but realizes those issues are partially related to the environment, families, and groups they are part of as well as the experiences they have had and their genetics.
After receiving my Masters at BYU; where I had the opportunity to work in the BYU comprehensive clinic seeing families, couples, and individuals; I took a few years off to raise my children. Once both children were in full-time school, I went back to work. I have been a licensed MFT since 2013. I have worked with pre-teens, teenagers and adults. I have especially enjoyed working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, and couples’ issues such as communication. I originally started using cognitive behavioral therapy but have grown to believe that there are many ways to support and encourage change and each client requires a unique treatment method tailored to them.
I love the privilege of helping people minimize and carry their pain. I believe in homework, and practice between sessions. I believe in rituals and making the intangible tangible.
Hi! My name is Dawn Wisbey, and I am a Clinical Professional Counselor – Intern, providing therapy both in-office and via telehealth. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, from adolescents to adults in all stages of life.
Before embarking on my journey as a counselor, I had a successful career in Human Resources at a financial institution in London. Although I valued my corporate experience, it was during this time that I discovered my passion for helping people navigate difficult moments in their lives. This realization led me to pursue a career that aligned more closely with this calling.
I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in counseling psychology from Framingham State University in Massachusetts before relocating to Nevada. Throughout my studies, my enthusiasm for therapeutic work grew, and I continue to value the importance of the work we do together as therapist and client. Since the summer of 2023, I have been proud to work with Elements of Motivation, using my training, knowledge, and life experiences to support my clients in overcoming life’s challenges.
I believe that effective therapeutic work begins with a respectful and committed relationship between therapist and client. My goal is to meet clients where they are and provide the support they need during each session. I integrate various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, to best serve my clients.
Originally from England, I have lived in the United States for 17 years. I have been married to my husband for 26 years, and we have two adult children. Our playful sheep-a-doodle, Winston, keeps us active and entertained. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy hiking with my family, cooking, practicing yoga and Pilates, and exploring new cultures through travel. I am dedicated to continuous learning and personal growth, always striving to be the best version of myself both personally and professionally.
I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges of their lives and grow into their best selves. I work with adults, adolescents, and children (including individuals, couples, and families) on a variety of challenges including trauma, PTSD, relationship distress, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. I am LGBTQ plus allied and sex positive. My specialty is in healing past trauma including abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), neglect, grief/loss, etc. Serious challenges are welcome. I enjoy helping people get "unstuck" so you can heal and live the life you deserve.
Therapy with me is collaborative as we work together to define and reach your goals. My approach is evidence-based which means treatment is informed by research within the mental health field. The modalities I currently use are solution-focused, psychodynamic/attachment-based, CBT, Gottman Method (for couples), EMDR, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
I believe that everyone has innate strengths which can guide them through any challenge. My job is to help you find those strengths and use them to achieve the goals you set for yourself. Think of me as your personal trainer for mental health. I currently offer both tele-health and in-person sessions. Please feel free to reach out.

In my opinion, counseling should always start and conclude with kindness and a willingness to walk alongside a client through their experience. I feel that I have a genuine listening heart and a desire to see people find and live in peace and joy, which is why I entered this field. In general, regardless of a person's challenges or personal circumstances, I view every person as a distinct individual deserving of unconditional acceptance.
