I have always been interested in psychology before I knew I was interested in psychology. Growing up in a family that was opposed to addressing mental health problems, where issues were often hidden rather than confronted, I was unknowingly being prepared for my life's work. It wasn't until my 20s, when I realized the importance of seeking help for my own issues, that my path became clear. Taking my first psychology class was a turning point—I was hooked. I fell in love with the mind and began to see how psychology influences everything around us. As I learned more, I saw firsthand how counseling could change lives. I wanted to be part of that change, especially for those people who would constantly come to me for emotional support.
My name is Alexander Linderman, I am a passionate Clinical Professional Counselor Intern with a focus on complex trauma and resilience. I am a Doctoral Student in Psychology and have my second Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My first master's degree is in education with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a Certified Professional Life Coaching certificate from Texas A&M. Beyond my clinical and academic work, I am a father to six wonderful children, a husband to a beautiful Latina wife, an author, and a curious student of life, constantly seeking to learn new skills and expand my knowledge on topics ranging from history to culture. My personal journey through life's challenges, including navigating through divorce and the complexities of family life, has deeply influenced my therapeutic approach, allowing me to connect with my clients on a more personal level.
Outside of therapy, my hobbies are photography and painting, going on walks with my children, playing the occasional card game or video game, but always with a friend or family member. Spending quality time with my family and traveling, especially to places like Peru, has opened my understanding of human resilience and happiness. My book, "Mental Makeover," is a reflection of my professional knowledge and personal experiences, aimed at empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
My academic and professional journey is driven by a passion for understanding the mind and using that knowledge to help others overcome barriers and achieve their personal goals. I bring a combination of professional expertise, personal experience, and genuine compassion to my work, striving to support my clients in their journey towards healing and fulfillment with a great deal of success.
If you are seeking guidance and hope on your path to personal growth and healing, I encourage you to connect. Together, we can navigate your journey towards well-being and fulfillment. Please reach out to begin this important work.

I approach therapy as a collaborator. My method is client-centered and humanistic. I aim to accompany my clients in achieving the goals brought into the therapeutic environment with openness, empathy, and compassion. Creating goals in small steps is vital for progress and change. Identifying insecure attachment and dysfunctional patterns will create lasting changes. My clients can learn to recognize unhealthy cycles and learn more in-depth about their attachment styles.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy intern with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in child and adolescent development. My master's degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I have worked with the ASD population as a registered behavior technician since 2018. I am allied through sex-positivity with the LGBTQIA+ and sex workers communities. I specialize in working with gender dysphoria, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. I also specialize in working with alternative lifestyles, subcultures, and transgender communities with the ability to engage from a multicultural lens. I predominantly serve young adults, adults, and the elderly in individual therapy.
Some of the modalities I use are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), Rogerian, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, contextual, existential, solution-focused therapy (SFT), and narrative therapy. I am currently offering telehealth appointments exclusively.
Ultimately, the connection and comfort between the therapist and the client are essential in providing the best atmosphere for individuals to succeed. I offer validation and support to all of my clients. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with and empowering my clients. We work as a team to create a healthier future with positive development and growth.
