Keeley Luan, CPC-Intern

Hi, I'm Keeley Luan, CPC-Intern! As a therapist, I thrive in unconventional settings that feel more like genuine conversations than formal sessions. I aim to create a safe, comfortable space where you can be yourself without pressure, judgment, or the awkwardness that therapy can sometimes bring. Whether in person or virtual, I want therapy to feel natural, meaningful, and tailored to you. If you light up when talking about video games, anime, or D&D, we might be a great fit. I love weaving these interests into our sessions, not just for fun but also as tools for easing anxiety, building trust, and spotting patterns that show up in your life!

My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I support clients in holding themselves accountable while also practicing self-kindness. Therapy isn’t about being “fixed”—it’s about discovering who you are, learning to navigate life’s challenges, and growing into the person you want to be.

I’m committed to creating a welcoming and affirming space for people of all identities and orientations. I enjoy using a narrative therapeutic approach to understand my client's view from their lens, always meeting my clients where they are with intention and empathy.

Justin Fuentes, CSW-Intern

Hi, I’m Justin Fuentes (he/him/él), a Clinical Social Work-Intern who is passionate about helping children, teens, and adults discover their strengths and thrive. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and bring experience from schools, hospitals, and community settings. Along the way, I’ve supported people navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, and life transitions, as well as the emotional toll that comes with medical diagnoses, hospitalizations, or recovery after medical trauma.

My therapy approach is supportive and collaborative, focused on meeting you where YOU are. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and develop tools that fit your everyday life. I often use cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused techniques, but I adapt each session so it feels natural and meaningful to you.

As a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish), I value inclusivity and strive to create a safe, welcoming space where all clients feel respected and understood.

I chose to become a mental health professional because I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone has the right support at the right time. What I love most about this work is witnessing those small but meaningful shifts, when a child learns to manage big feelings, when a teenager feels more connected, or an adult finding new hope after hardship.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward healing and growth.

I also helped many people who have experienced physical and sexual trauma or emotional abuse. I have spent the last 4 years working with adults, children, and adolescents.

My counseling style is relaxed, inviting and always transparent. I understand that making the decision to come to therapy can sometimes feel scary and overwhelming, I will always start where you are at, and never assume what you need. I want our time together to feel like teamwork, as we both work together to get you where you want to be. I come from a psychodynamic background, while pulling in different interventions from techniques ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy/Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Person-Centered Therapy, Brief Goal Directed Therapy, Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy, and Trauma Focused-CBT. I will work with you to find the best technique or techniques which fit your needs best!

The fact that you are here means you have done the hardest part, which is finally deciding to ask for support and take the leap into therapy. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and work together to make changes, one step at a time!

Dominique Montenegro, CPC-Intern

Hi, I’m Dominique, a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern (CPC-Intern) in Las Vegas. I earned my bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2018 and completed my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022.

My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process and find relief from trauma, phobias, and distressing memories.

I also focus on helping clients explore personal growth, build resilience, and discover strengths they may not have realized they had. As a mom of two, I understand the demands of balancing family, work, and self-care, and I bring that perspective into my work. When I’m not in session, I love spending time with my family and creating fun memories with my sons.

I offer telehealth sessions to make therapy accessible and flexible for busy lives. Whether you’re seeking relief from past trauma, support through current challenges, or guidance on personal growth, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you on your journey to healing and change.

Anita Thornton, LMFT

I approach therapy as a collaborator. My method is client-centered and humanistic. I aim to accompany my clients in achieving the goals brought into the therapeutic environment with openness, empathy, and compassion. Creating goals in small steps is vital for progress and change. Identifying insecure attachment and dysfunctional patterns will create lasting changes. My clients can learn to recognize unhealthy cycles and learn more in-depth about their attachment styles.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in child and adolescent development. My master's degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I have worked with the ASD population as a registered behavior technician since 2018. I am allied through sex-positivity with the LGBTQIA+ and sex workers communities. I specialize in working with gender dysphoria, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. I also specialize in working with alternative lifestyles, subcultures, and transgender communities with the ability to engage from a multicultural lens. I predominantly serve young adults, adults, and the elderly in individual therapy.

Some of the modalities I use are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), Rogerian, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, contextual, existential, solution-focused therapy (SFT), and narrative therapy. I am currently offering telehealth appointments exclusively.

Ultimately, the connection and comfort between the therapist and the client are essential in providing the best atmosphere for individuals to succeed. I offer validation and support to all of my clients. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with and empowering my clients. We work as a team to create a healthier future with positive development and growth.

Keith Guinn, CSW-Intern

I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, adapting my approach to meet each person’s needs. I specialize in working with neurodiverse clients (ADHD/Autism) and am committed to providing an affirming, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals as well.

Payton Freund, CPC-Intern

Hi! My name is Payton Freund and I’m a Clinical Professional Counselor-Intern here at Elements. I’m a proud Vegas local, born and raised, and I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNLV. Before that, I got my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Washington State University (go Cougs)!

I believe real growth happens when you feel safe enough to bring your whole self into the room. That kind of trust doesn’t happen overnight, but I'm here to build that with you. I love working with individuals, couples, and families of all kinds. You may feel distant in your relationships, unsure about your sexuality or gender, or weighed down by past experiences that still shape the present. These responses make sense, even if they feel isolating. I’m especially passionate about helping people explore intimacy and sexual well-being without shame.

My practice is affirming of women’s and LGBTQ+ identities as well as kink-allied. Whether you’re working through questions of gender or sexuality, facing rejection or discrimination, or simply tired of having to explain your lived experience, you’ll find a space here where you’re seen and accepted. Together, we’ll slow down and make sense of what’s been overwhelming, isolating, or taboo. Wherever you are in your journey, I’m honored to walk alongside you.

Claudia Lopez, MFT-Intern

Hannah Kalambakal, MFT-Intern

“True healing is not about fixing what is broken but about rediscovering what has always been whole.” – Unknown

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a Marriage and Family Therapy-Intern, and I am so glad you are here.

I believe that therapy is a partnership rooted in trust, compassion, and understanding. My goal is to walk alongside clients in their journey, helping them uncover their inner strength and build the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I approach every individual as unique, deserving of unconditional respect and a space where they can heal and grow at their own pace.

I help clients navigate the complexities of mental health, sexuality, and relationships in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. Many of the people I work with are grappling with questions around desire, intimacy, and connection—sometimes in the context of life transitions, relational conflict, or experiences of trauma. While I have a strong focus on men’s mental health, I work with clients of all genders and sexual orientations, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals and couples exploring kink/BDSM or polyamorous relationships.

Sex and relationships are deeply personal, and struggles in these areas can leave people feeling isolated, frustrated, or unsure of themselves. My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity: I help clients explore their desires, uncover patterns, and develop tools to communicate more openly, set boundaries, and build fulfilling connections. I also support clients in navigating life transitions—whether it’s a new relationship, career change, or personal growth journey—helping them find clarity and resilience along the way.

I take a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy, where all parts of you are welcome. I believe in creating a collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their feelings, gain new insights, and make lasting changes.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hanging with my pups, practicing yoga, and engaging in creative pursuits. I look forward to joining you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Grant Humphries III, CSW-Intern

Therapy can be hard work and it requires a willingness to be honest and open. However, I also believe that therapy should occasionally mix in laughter and fun. Couples, triads, and individuals can come to me to address a variety of issues that may have arisen during the course of their relationship. My life experiences include firsthand knowledge of what works well in a happy marriage but also what missteps can lead to tension and conflict. You don't have to struggle alone. Let me be a source of support and perspective for you.

I am primarily interested in alleviating distress arising during romantic/sexual relationships or in the aftermath of their dissolution. I believe happy love relationships can be one of the greatest sources of fulfillment and happiness life offers and I also believe almost all couples can make it work if they are given the tools to succeed. I can help!

I operate from a completely non-judgmental perspective. I believe you are the expert on your life. I absolutely desire to help you find a path forward towards happiness and away from sadness, shame, and fear. I truly believe it is my calling to help others achieve the best version of their lives and helping clients reach their goals is my only priority.

Xochil Perez, CPC-Intern

She offers a warm, calm, and welcoming space for clients to feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Her approach to therapy is rooted in presence, trust, and compassion. After navigating her own experience with loneliness, she made a promise to her younger self to be the kind of support that helps others know they are never truly alone.

Xochil has worked with at-risk youth and survivors of domestic violence and understands the importance of showing up with empathy and curiosity. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients examine their thought patterns, understand their behaviors, and find new ways to cope and grow. Her sessions are shaped by patience and respect, giving clients space to move at their own pace while staying grounded in their goals and values. She listens deeply and works collaboratively, always focused on what matters most to the client.

As a first-generation Mexican American woman, Xochil brings a strong sense of cultural identity and pride into her work. She identifies as a wife, daughter, sister, friend, Latina, Christian, advocate, and animal lover. These roles inform her perspective and strengthen her ability to relate to others with authenticity. She believes that each person’s life is unique and that therapy should reflect their values, dreams, and sense of purpose. Her guiding belief is that we only get one life, and we each deserve the chance to explore how we want to live it. Whether you are just starting your healing journey or are further along the path, Xochil is honored to walk beside you, offering support, accountability, and care every step of the way.
