Hi. I’m Tashana, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who’s been in the behavioral and mental health field for over 10 years and I specialize in working with the youth. I find favor in assisting individuals with challenges that impair their ability to function.
I help individuals and couples who want to feel satisfied in their connection with their partner but feel like no matter what they do it just leads to stress and frustration. I support them in exploring their history and uncovering patterns they may not even be aware of so that they can begin to have more control of their emotions and be excited about their relationship again.
I know from my years of experience working with children, individuals, and couples with relationship issues that you can make big changes in your life. If you are ready to do the work, you will be amazed at how capable you are of exploring parts of yourself you never knew existed. The process of therapy can allow you to grow more quickly than you ever have before.
I believe that each one of us can be fulfilled in our lives. If you are ready to explore what is getting in your way and figure out what to do next, then give me a call.
Hi, I’m Sam!
I’m a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern, and my love for Mental Health therapy started way back in my early 20s when I was working through the loss of my daughter. During therapy, I kept telling myself, “There has to be a way to feel better than pain, anger, disappointment, neglect, and numbness. I can’t just stay stuck like this!” From that moment on, I knew this career was meant for me to help as many people as I could find fulfillment in their lives.
I started my education in 2016 at the University of Phoenix and earned my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I began practicing mental health counseling in 2018 by interning at the Canyon Ridge Counseling Center. Since then, I’ve had the chance to treat Grief, Loss, Bereavement, Communication Problems, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bullying, and Bipolar Disorders by teaching Stress management skills, mindfulness practices, and Self-care routines. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Journaling, and Mindfulness-Based therapy to help clients reach their full potential during therapy.
I truly believe that the key to a successful therapeutic relationship is respect and trust. These things need to be mutual between the therapist and client to keep healthy boundaries and achieve success. Like with any relationship, there can be challenges, but how each one handles these moments is what really matters for the relationship’s success.
As a wife, a mother to three amazing teenage/young adults, and as I navigate my blended bilingual family, I don’t have a lot of time for myself, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I love watching movies, bowling, dancing, and hanging out with my family. No matter how busy my day is, when you’re ready to start your journey to a healthier you, I’m here to help!
