Supervision with Dawayla Williams, LCSW

Supervisor: CSW-Interns & Secondary Supervisor: MFT/CPC Interns

Dawayla Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience in clinical supervision and therapeutic practice. She has been part of the Clinical Leadership and Supervision team at Elements of Motivation since 2023, where she provides thoughtful and empowering guidance to CSW-Interns, MFT-Interns, and CPC-Interns.

Dawayla’s supervision style is collaborative, strengths-based, and skills-focused, combining practical guidance with encouragement and support. She incorporates Solution-Focused Therapy, a systems-based perspective, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) (Advanced Trained) into her supervision and clinical work. Her professional experience spans working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, and PTSD.

She believes the foundation of effective supervision begins with clear communication, mutual respect, and trust. Dawayla fosters a space where professional boundaries, honest dialogue, and consistent accountability help create a safe and reliable structure for growth. She values openness to feedback, collaborative goal setting, and a shared commitment to professional and personal development. Her goal is to support interns in becoming ethical, confident, and self-aware providers who feel empowered in their clinical work.

Supervisees often describe Dawayla as calm, patient, and deeply supportive. She brings warmth and clarity into supervision and finds great meaning in helping new clinicians grow into the type of providers they want to be. Supervision with Dawayla is available virtually, based on availability and need, and she currently runs a supervision group bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 11am.

Supervision with Mary Kay Sargent, LMFT

Primary & Secondary Supervisor MFT/CPC Interns

Mary Kay Sargent is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience and six years of supervisory experience. She is a Nevada Board-approved Primary and Secondary Supervisor and is currently completing her candidacy to become an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Mary Kay offers telehealth group supervision on Mondays at 9 AM and 5 PM, and individual supervision on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 PM.

Her supervision style is collaborative, structured, and clear, offering a supportive space grounded in mutual respect and accountability. She values open communication, cultural humility, and professional growth, and is known for providing honest feedback with practical guidance. Supervisees describe her as approachable, consistent, and responsive, appreciating the space she creates to reflect, learn, and build confidence.

Mary Kay’s clinical orientation is rooted in systemic thinking and humanistic values. She draws from Internal Family Systems, CBT, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She works with individuals, families, and teens, with a focus on trauma, PTSD, women’s issues, sexual abuse, anxiety, grief, and cultural identity. She enjoys teaching interns how to adapt theory into practice in a way that honors both the client’s experience and the therapist’s evolving clinical voice.

She became a supervisor out of a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and the meaningful role supervision plays in shaping strong, ethical clinicians. Her goal is to ensure interns feel supported, never alone in their decision-making, and equipped with the tools they need to meet the needs of an ever-changing world.
